Waukee Celebrates Trail Completion with a Ribbon-Cutting Saturday

The city of Waukee will celebrate the completion of the Raccoon River Valley Trail with a ribbon-cutting this Saturday in Waukee.

The city of Waukee will celebrate the completion of a major trail project this weekend.

Waukee officials will host a ribbon-cutting of the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead project Saturday morning at 9 a.m.

The Raccoon River Trail is an 89 mile-long paved trail that connects Waukee to neighboring communities like Adel, Dallas Center, Redfield and beyond. The trail stretches along the banks of the Raccoon River Valley.

The ribbon-cutting celebration will be held at 9 a.m. at 955 W. Hickman Road. The event is free and is open to the public.
