Waukee Chamber to Host State House and Senate Candidate Forum Saturday

The Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee will host the 2012 Waukee State House and Senate Candidate Forum this Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The forum will be held at the Theater Arts Center at Prairieview School, located at 655 S.E. University Ave. and will be moderated by Drake University political science professor, Dennis Goldford.

Candidates in two highly-visible races have agreed to participate in the forum. In the race for Senate District 22, Republican Sen. Pat Ward will take on opponent and newcomer Democrat Desmund Adams.

In the race for the House District 44, Republican Rob Taylor will battle it out against Democrat Eric Brenneman.

The Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce is a non-partisan organization hosting the political forum. The forum is free and is open to the public.
