UPDATE: Waukee Falls to West Des Moines Valley in Substate Baseball Final
Waukee played Class 4-A conference rival West Des Moines Valley in the substate baseball finals Wednesday night at Waukee High School.
They beat Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 10-0 before facing conference foe West Des Moines Valley in the Class 4-A substate baseball finals Wednesday night.
Did they come out the victor? Not this time.
West Des Moines edged out Waukee with a score of 12-2. A grand slam by Valley's Tanner Hinkle helped the Tigers take the Warriors in just five innings earning them a trip to the state baseball tournament July 25.
