Lyn Schafer, owner of and organizer of the Waukee Farmers Market, said the event continues to grow incrementally each year.
"For us to start, normally we have about 20 vendors but already we're 10 up," said Schafer. "That’s excellent."

Schafer said attendees to this year's Farmers Market will see some old, familiar faces and also some new. Some of the new highlights include a gluten-free baked goods vendor as well as a new sound system that will make it easier to pipe in music on the Triangle.
There is no cost to attend the Waukee Farmers Market. It will run throughout the summer until Sept. 26. There will be no Farmers Market on July 4 due to the holiday.
