6) The Waukee Fire Department rolled out a pilot program Friday for seniors and those with medical conditions that might require paramedic assistance. The entails use of a Knox-Box or secure entry system at no charge. 

7) The held a Back-to-School Health Fair was held at the Westview Church. Students heading back to class this fall could get physicals, immunizations, lead testing and even insurance information, all at no charge.

8) weekend began on Friday. Back-to-school shoppers could save some serious change as they were granted a sales tax savings on clothing and shoes that cost less than $100.

9) Republican residential candidate Michele Bachmann made a stop at the Point of Grace Church this morning to meet with voters about the upcoming election. Bachmann will particpate in the Straw Poll in Ames on Saturday.
