Waukee Schools Fill Two Top Administrative Positions
Michelle Lettington and Chris Bergman have both accepted new positions in the Waukee Community School District.

The approved the hiring of two top administrative positions Monday night at its regular scheduled meeting.
Michelle Lettington, principal at , was named the new Executive Director of Curriculum and Professional Learning for Waukee schools. Lettington fills the position vacated by earlier this year.
Lettington is a graduate and has worked in the district as both an associate and teacher, as well as a principal.

“Moving into an executive director position will be another way I can serve our district students, staff and families," Lettington said. "I'm excited about collaborating and learning in this new role focused on our mission and vision. I love that we are always improving in Waukee."
, an ELP teacher and Ambassador Coach at South Middle School, will move into the role vacated by Lettington. Bergman has taught for 21 years with the last four in Waukee.

“My position as an ELP teacher and Ambassador Coach at South Middle School afforded me daily opportunities to experience the love of learning through the eyes and hearts of middle school students," Bergman said. "Our shared enthusiasm for seeking challenge and chasing our passions will continue although it will take on a different look. My goal is to remain connected at this level in order to best understand and serve student needs at South Middle School."
Both Lettington and Bergman will move into their new positions at the end of first term in October.
