UPDATE: Waukee Loses to West Des Moines Valley in Football Season Opener
The Waukee Warrior football team kicked off its season against West Des Moines Valley Friday night at Waukee Stadium.
It was a new season, a new division and a fresh start for the Waukee Warrior football team as they took on conference rival and defending state champion West Des Moines Valley in the season opener Friday night.

The Warriors, lead by head coach Scott Carlson, returned with 13 letter winners from last year's squad. Waukee ended the 2011-12 season 6-4 after they were eliminated in the first round of playoffs by Sioux City East.
