Waukee Weather Forecast This Week

Ok, admittedly, when it comes to weather, I'm one of those people you love to hate.

I talk frequently about the weather. I check it every morning and again every evening. I want to know know whether or not I should grab an umbrella before I leave the house or if maybe I should send a sweatshirt to school with the kids (although in Iowa, that trick has failed me before.)

Anyway, bottom line, I dig weather. There are days when I think I should have gone into meteorology (if only it wasn't for all that science and stuff.)

But with temperatures hovering at "just right" all weekend, I figured you would want to know what you'll be getting into this week in Waukee.

According to the National Weather Service, the forecast is as follows:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 81. Tonight, clear with a low around 59.

Tuesday: Sunny and breezy with a high near 91. Tuesday night, clear with a low around 61.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Wednesday night, a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a low around 60.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Otherwise cloudy, with a high near 69. Thursday night, a 40 percent chance of showers with a low around 53.

Friday: A slight chance of showers, mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Friday night, partly cloudy with a low around 50.

Saturday: Sunny with a high near 74. Saturday night, mostly clear with a low around 53.
