Waukee Weekend Rewind: Mountain Lions, Big Bird and Bon Jovi (Oh, My!)

In case you couldn't make it to Waukee Patch over the weekend, we thought we'd fill you in on what you missed.

Among other stories, there's our  which this week highlighted a mountain lion in Des Moines, Big Bird being forced by Mitt Romney and super creepy dude who thought leaving dead flowers and Hawkeye slippers would win him the girl of his dreams.

Don't forget our Top 9 feature, with stories about Jon Bon Jovi playing for the Obama campaign, a shooting in Ankeny and a theft from the Goodwill in Waukee that wasn't filled with goodwill.

And some great news out of Waukee over the weekend as the Waukee Warriors, who played Des Moines East Friday night, pulled out one of the most amazing come-from-behind wins in recent history. The Warriors topped the Scarlets, 48-28 after trailing East the entire first half. Don't mess with the purple and gold people.
