Waukee Winners at the Iowa State Fair Through Aug. 15

Adventureland Park Intermediate Division

The Adventureland Park Intermediate Division contest was judged Thursday at the 2012 Iowa State Fair.

The competition is open to youths ages 12 to 17. Judging of the sweets was based on taste, texture, appearance and creativity.

Waukee participants included:

• Emily Safris, first place, Cake Mix Fix-Up Cookies; second place, Banana Nut Bread; first place, Cookies Other Than Named

Fabric and Threads Crochet Contest

The Fabric and Threads Crochet contest was judged prior to the start of the 2011 Iowa State Fair.

Fabric and Threads exhibits are on display every day of the Fair from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the William C. Knapp Varied Industries Building sponsored by Principal Financial Group.

Waukee participants included:
