The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for Dallas County including the city of Waukee. Freezing temperatures are expected late Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
Temperatures in central Iowa are expected to fall below 32 degrees and frost is likely. Exposed plants and tender vegetation are likely to suffer freeze damage if not properly covered by Saturday night.
On Sunday, patchy frost is expected before 8 a.m. with sunny skies and a high near 64 the rest of the day. Sunday nght will be clear with a low around 41.
