Waukee Athletic Boosters Membership BBQ

The Waukee Athletic Booster Club is hosting a BBQ dinner tonight at 5:30 p.m. at . The dinner is open to anyone who has already joined for 2012-13 school year or who wants to join tonight. Membership is just $30. With a membership, you will enjoy a dinner of pulled pork or hot dog, beans, chips, a cookie and water.

The dinner is sponsored by of Waukee and Dan Noack, Fareway Store Manager. Backyard BBQ will be doing all the cooking.

Waukee vs. West Des Moines Valley Football

will take on West Des Moines Valley tonight at 7:30 p.m. at . The game marks the start of the 2012-13 Waukee football season. Go Warriors!

Bob Dorr and the Blue Band at the Waukee Fest Street Dance

will kick off Waukee Fest with a street dance tonight beginning at 7:30 p.m. at 6^th and Walnut in downtown Waukee.

The evening will include a beer garden, beverages and pizza. The dance will serve as a fundraiser for the Waukee Area Arts Council. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate.

Breakfast provided by the Waukee Rotary Club on the downtown Triangle.

8 a.m. Waukee Fest 5K Fun Run
First annual Waukee Fest 5k Fun Run held at and sponsored by . Entry is $25.

9 a.m. - 1 p.m.  Sports Tournaments
The city will host a disc golf tournament (beginner and advanced) and a sand volleyball tournament. Sign up at www.waukee.org/waukeefest.html.

9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m  Arts, Crafts and Food Vendors
Dozens of vendors selling arts, crafts, food and other non-food items.

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Waukee City and Community Groups
The and as the will be on hand throughout the day.

11 a.m. Waukee Fest Parade
The Waukee Fest parade will begin at at 11 a.m. and end at the downtown Triangle. Line up for parade participants begins at 10 a.m.

11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Waukee Area Arts Council Community Tent
The will provide art activities, entertainment and other activities throughout the afternoon.

12 - 6 p.m. Kids Activities
Inflatables, mini golf, face-painting, Party with a Princess and Magician Lee Cole!

5:30 - 7:30 p.m. American Legion Steak Fry
The Waukee American Legion will host their annual steak fry in the community tent.

6:30 - 10:30 p.m. Live Band and Beer Garden
Throwing Toast will perform on the Triangle. A beverage garden will be open during the performance.

Cellar Dwellers Band at Mickey's Irish Pub

Come out and listen to the sounds of the Cellar Dwellers Band at Saturday at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge to attend.

Waukee United Methodist Church Pre-Rally Party 

The Waukee United Methodist church at 650 Ashworth Rd., West Des Moines is having a Pre-Rally Party on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. Free hot dogs, chips, and Pepsi. A free bounce house for the kids.  Free preview of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University being offered this fall. Free music.
