Waukee High School German Trip Fundraiser

Stop out to Love's Truck Stop at 11820 Hickman Rd. in Urbandale Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and show your support for the Waukee High School German students. A group of 17 students and parents will be traveling on a 13 day trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the spring of 2013. Help them fund their trip with a free will donation while your car is being washed and grab a hot dog for $1.
American Cancer Society's Relay for Life
Cancer survivors from the community are celebrated as they take a victory lap cheered on by the participants and visitors. A candlelight luminaria ceremony pays tribute to those who have been affected by cancer and remembers loved ones lost to this disease. Relay For Life offers the community an opportunity to fight back against cancer while enjoying music, entertainment and food at the Relay. Everyone is invited to walk at the event. The event goes from 4 to 11 p.m. with a survivor ceremony at 7:15 p.m. and the Luminaria ceremony at 9 p.m. Relay for Life is held at .
