Strong defense and hot three-point shooting from Lizzy Frazell led the way. The Go-Hawks now turn to a home matchup against Cedar Rapids Jefferson on December 16 at 6 p.m.
   

• Most Iowa farm groups grateful for latest federal financial assistance, but continue calls for bolstered trade markets (thegazette.com) — A Waverly farmer, Mark Mueller, is among Iowa ag leaders welcoming a new $12 billion federal aid package while stressing it’s only short-term relief. Iowa farm groups say the payments will help cash flow but won’t fix low crop prices, high input costs, or weak export markets. They’re pressing for stronger trade deals, year-round E15, and clearer renewable fuel policies.
