January Thaw: West Des Moines Weather Looks to Warm this Week
Expect some chance for precipitation, but temperatures should stay about freezing this week.

If you have a chance this week, get outside and enjoy the nice warm(ing) weather.
According to a forecast from the National Weather Service in the Des Moines, high temperatures in West Des Moines look as if they will hover in the forty-degree range for most of the week, even soaring to above 45 today. High temperatures are expected to remain in the 40s through Friday.
It's not all sunshine and lollipops this week, however, as rain chances are around 70 percent. A half inch of rain is possible, but temperatures will remain above freezing, according to the National Weather Service.

Snow chances are currently 30 percent on Saturday, with a high near 29. The long-rang forecast calls for daytime highs in the low 20s both Sunday and Monday and overnight lows around 11.
