• West Des Moines Valley boys soccer coach earns national coach of the year award (kcci.com) — West Des Moines residents can celebrate Valley boys soccer coach Aziz Haffar being named the 2025 National Coach of the Year after guiding the Tigers to another state championship. The longtime coach, who recently surpassed 600 wins in more than 30 years at Valley, will receive the national honor at a January ceremony in Philadelphia.
