Weather Service Warns of Heat Index in the Triple Digits
The National Weather Service has warned the public about a strong of 90-plus days in the West Des Moines weather forecast.

Summer has been here for less than a week, officially.Â
Yet it's about to feel like mid-August. The National Weather Service has announced a hazardous weather outlook, as the heat index will rise to around 105 degrees Wednesday and Thursday.
The weather service is warning of "very hot conditions" those days, with a chance of thunderstorms Thursday night through Saturday. It's too early to determine if that will bring severe weather with it.

The temps start to climb tomorrow, with a high Tuesday of 88 degrees. Wednesday will be a scorcher with a high of 98, only a couple degrees cooler on Thursday. Highs will hover at 90 through Sunday.
