Local nonprofits and attorneys are using a little‑known Kansas law to sue owners, aiming to rehab vacant houses, ease homelessness, and expand attainable housing options for Leavenworth residents over the next few years. 
• Customers overcharged thousands at Leavenworth gas station still seeking refunds (fox4kc.com) — Leavenworth residents hit with massive erroneous charges at a local 7-Eleven gas station are still waiting for refunds, with some accounts drained by thousands of dollars. A payment processing decimal error caused the problem, and affected customers say corporate responses have been slow and confusing as state agencies now review complaints and confirm pumps are functioning correctly.
