Salina Art Center hosting 2026 gala at end of January (salina.com) — Salina residents can look forward to the Salina Art Center’s “In Bloom, A Garden Gala” on January 31, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn Salina. With cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, fashion-show designs by 15 artists, and $1-per-vote online voting, the fundraiser directly supports local arts programming and encourages playful garden party attire.

Two Salina businesses receive over $5,000 from state to expand apprenticeship programs (salinapost.com) — Two Salina-area businesses, Build A Pro and Kansas Bankers Technology, are receiving more than $21,000 in state apprenticeship grants to grow construction and cybersecurity training in Saline County. They’re part of a $535,000 statewide investment aimed at expanding high-wage, high-demand apprenticeship opportunities and boosting Kansas’ overall workforce, with more funding rounds planned in the coming months.

4. 🎥: Troopers Graduate Salina Academy (ksal.com) — New Kansas Highway Patrol troopers just graduated at the training academy in Salina, where recruits from Classes 73 and 74 received their badges and took the oath.
