- Police have arrested two suspects in a shooting that resulted in a Topeka man being critically injured. The incident occurred on Jun. 11 in Pensacola, Florida, when Caden Tipton was shot following an altercation in a parking lot. Rashawn L. Posey, 21, and Warren Q. Grahamm, 25, were arrested and booked into the Escambia County Jail. Tipton's family has established a GoFundMe to help support his hospital stay and recovery. (WIBW)
- A Topeka man has been arrested after a string of car burglaries at a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. Travis D. Munsell, 33, was arrested shortly after police identified his vehicle around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. He faces multiple charges including possession of stolen property, burglary, and vehicle to commit felony, theft, or sexually motivated crime. (Salina Post)
- A new luxury apartment complex has officially opened in Topeka. Wheatfield Village celebrated its grand opening Tuesday after being under construction for nearly two years. The complex, which is located near B&B Theatres, is currently at 55 percent capacity. (KSNT News)
