  1. Construction is nearly complete on a new senior living facility in Topeka. Connect55+ Topeka will include 134 one- and two-bedroom pet-friendly apartments for independent seniors and is expected to open soon. The facility will also include multiple common areas including a library, community room, fitness center, game room, movie room, and outdoor patio. (WIBW)
  2. The Topeka Metro is asking for public input on proposed service changes to city bus routes. The proposed changes include the elimination of the Rice Road trip on the #3 East 6th Street route and the elimination of inbound stops at the Veteran's Administration on the #21 West 21st Street route. The first open house public input meeting will be held Friday, Jun. 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Quincy Street Station lobby. (KSNT News)
  3. The Sunflower Music Festival begins Friday, Jun. 16, on the Washburn University campus. The annual concert series offers nine nights of free music, including orchestra, chamber ensembles, and jazz music. The opening celebration will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the White Concert Hall. (WIBW)
