• Data Breaches Announced by Morton Drug Company & Physicians to Children & Adolescents (hipaajournal.com) — A Bardstown pediatric practice, Physicians to Children & Adolescents, is notifying 9,536 patients that a cybersecurity breach last year exposed sensitive personal and medical information. Names, medical histories, lab results, and in some cases Social Security numbers may have been accessed. The clinic has mailed notification letters and is offering credit monitoring to affected patients whose Social Security numbers were involved.
   

• Community gets to see proposed changes in KY 44 improvement plan (wave3.com) — State transportation officials are refining plans to improve KY 44 from Bardstown Road toward the Spencer County line, aiming to boost safety and ease backups for drivers who travel between Bardstown and the Louisville region. Residents can still weigh in on options like widening the road or building a new alignment through an online survey open until Jan. 12.
