• New owners of senior living community denied zoning request for multi-living housing (lex18.com) — Cynthiana’s joint planning commission has rejected a zoning change that would have allowed triplexes and fourplexes at the Cottages at Flat Run senior community, sending the decision to the Cynthiana City Commission. Residents on fixed incomes, already facing January rent hikes, are worried about added traffic and density but say duplexes could be a reasonable compromise if owners revise their request.
