• Police offer holiday crime prevention tips as Christmas approaches (wkyt.com) — Georgetown police are warning residents to guard against holiday “crimes of opportunity,” especially package thefts, car break-ins, and home burglaries while people travel. Assistant Chief Josh Nash urges neighbors to secure deliveries, hide shopping bags, lock homes, delay vacation posts on social media, and be smart about trash that advertises new purchases. He also reminds partygoers to plan a sober ride home. 
• Celebrating Christmas at Immanuel Baptist Church, in-person or online (lex18.com) — Immanuel Baptist Church is holding a Christmas Eve service at its Georgetown campus on Cardinal Drive at 5 p.m., giving local families an in-town option for worship. Additional services are offered at Lexington campuses, online, and via televised broadcasts on LEX 18, so residents can choose the format that best fits their holiday plans.
