Multiple units respond to Glasgow structure fire - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Glasgow firefighters quickly knocked down a structure fire on Grandview Avenue early Monday morning, keeping it contained and avoiding any injuries. Crews used thermal imaging and ventilation to check for hidden hot spots before clearing the scene about an hour later, according to the Glasgow Fire Department.
3. Family reacts after Herbert D. Proffitt Act becomes Federal law (wbko.com) — A Glasgow family is celebrating after the Chief Herbert D. Proffitt Act, named for the late Kentucky police chief, officially became federal law. The change closes a long-standing gap so families of retired officers killed by criminals they once arrested can receive the same line-of-duty benefits as active officers, retroactive to 2012 and directly helping Proffitt’s relatives.

Investigators say she fled toward Cave City, showed signs of intoxication when found, and now faces alcohol intoxication and wanton endangerment charges as the case continues.
