Beams to be set on third, final ORX approach bridge (tristatehomepage.com) — Drivers in Henderson should expect brief rolling closures on U.S. 41 this week as 12 massive concrete beams are delivered for the third and final I-69 ORX approach bridge. Deliveries are planned Tuesday through Thursday afternoons, with more beams coming in early 2026 as the project nears completion.

Proactive Patrol Reminder To Motorists (ky.gov) — State police are stepping up proactive patrols and roadside safety checkpoints in and around Henderson to deter impaired driving and other violations. Troopers from Post 16, which serves Henderson County, will use highly visible checkpoints to verify licenses, registration, insurance, and vehicle safety, and encourage residents to report unsafe or criminal activity confidentially.

3. Uzbekistan's AKFA Group launches first U.S. site in Kentucky (tristatehomepage.com) — A new aluminum manufacturing plant from Uzbekistan’s AKFA Group is coming to Henderson, bringing 331 planned jobs and a major international investment to the local economy. State and company leaders say the Henderson facility will use energy‑efficient, low‑carbon processes and serve as a full‑cycle production hub for construction, transportation, and renewable energy markets.

4. PAID ADVERT: Henderson GOP reminds voters of Dec. 31 deadline to change party (the-hendersonian.com) — Henderson County Republicans are urging local voters to register or switch to the GOP by December 31, 2025 if they want to participate in the May 2026 Republican primary. The paid notice explains Kentucky’s party-registration rule and directs residents to the county clerk, vote.gov, or a QR code to update their information.

5. Elmer Gibson, 93, of Kuttawa (wpkyonline.com) — Henderson County readers are remembering Elmer Lee Gibson, born there in 1932, who went on to build successful automotive and Amway businesses and become a respected Christian mentor and storyteller. The longtime Kuttawa resident, avid outdoorsman, and Kentucky Colonel died December 14 at age 93, leaving a large, close-knit family and many friends who cherished his wisdom, humor, and faith.
