• Lindsey Wilson University Business Graduate Students Shine At Inaugural Student Showcase (935wain.com) — A Liberty graduate student, Barbara Mendez, helped win top honors at Lindsey Wilson University’s inaugural business student showcase with a nonprofit idea serving rural Appalachia. Her project, Moving Forward With Hope, would convert a bus into a mobile shower, laundry, internet, and food unit for underserved counties, highlighting regional compassion and innovation with Liberty roots.
   

• Taylor David West, age 22, of Jamestown (lakercountry.com) — Liberty readers are connected to the loss of 22-year-old Taylor David West of Jamestown through his aunt Ashley West of Liberty, who is among his surviving family. Taylor, remembered as a hard worker and loving person, worked at Stephens Pipe and Steel, and his family will hold memorial services at a later date with no visitation planned.
