• City of Madisonville ready for 2026, Western Kentucky Speedway gains new owners, red clay (whopam.com) — Madisonville leaders say 2026 is shaping up to be a big year, with several yet-to-be-announced projects and ongoing construction expected to boost local growth. Western Kentucky Speedway is under new ownership and getting fresh red clay from the closed Clarksville track, while Deck the Park continues through January 1 for holiday visitors. Residents can follow updates on the city’s website and Facebook page. 
• KY 120 Bridge in Webster County Now Open (wmskamfm.com) — Drivers in our region should know the KY 120 bridge over Bull Creek in Webster County has reopened after being closed since November 17 for structural repairs. Crews reinforced deteriorated wooden pilings with cable, rebar, and concrete, finishing the safety work slightly ahead of the original 1–2 month estimate. The bridge sits east of Providence in the area known as the S-Curve.
