KY Supreme Court upholds Paducah ordinance (wpsdlocal6.com) — Paducah residents should know the Kentucky Supreme Court has upheld the city’s ordinance requiring firefighters to live within 45 minutes of town, a rule city leaders say protects staffing in major emergencies. Protective Force leaders credit strict vehicle maintenance and officers’ ownership of their patrol cars, saying the around-the-clock coverage helps keep both the Paducah Site and surrounding community safe during any potential security incident.
   

5. Paducah Chamber elects 2026 officers and board (wpsdlocal6.com) — Paducah’s business community will see new leadership in 2026 as Baptist Health Paducah president Kenny Boyd steps in as chair of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce board. Outgoing chair and Paducah Bank market president Susan Ybarzabal becomes immediate past chair, while GEO Consultants president Todd Buchanan has been named chair-elect, shaping the chamber’s direction for the coming year.
