Couple Find $1.8M Winning Lotto Ticket Cleaning For Thanksgiving
A Louisiana couple found the winning jackpot ticket for a June 6 state lottery drawing while cleaning for Thanksgiving guests.

MANDEVILLE, LA — A Louisiana couple cleaning their home in anticipation of Thanksgiving guests found a winning jackpot lottery ticket just two weeks before it was set to expire.
According to a press release from the Louisiana Lottery, Harold and Tina Ehrenberg claimed the $1.8 million winning ticket for the June 6 Louisiana Lotto drawing. The couple claimed the prize on Nov. 19.
Tina Ehrenberg said she found a few lottery tickets on a nightstand that the couple hadn't checked. They couple soon found that one of the tickets matched all of the numbers listed on the lottery website.

"We kept checking the numbers again and again!" Harold Ehrenberg said.
"Plus, I called the winning numbers hotline over and over," Tina Ehrenberg said.

The couple claimed the prize with two weeks to go before the ticket expired, according to lottery officials.
The store that sold the winning ticket received a one-time selling bonus.
Harold and Tina Ehrenberg took home $1,274,313 after taxes.
