University of Louisiana at Lafayette Chefs Victorious in Gumbo Cookoff

Sodexo chefs Harry Foster, Kevin Leroux, Agia Cretian-Joubert, and Briana Dauphine, emerge triumphant in a recent Chili/Gumbo Cook-Off

On January 20, the culinary wizards at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, represented by Sodexo chefs Harry Foster, Kevin Leroux, Agia Cretian-Joubert, and Briana Dauphine, emerged triumphant in a recent Chili/Gumbo Cook-Off at the Youngsville Sports Complex.

In the event, organized by the Youngsville Lions Club, sixteen teams competed to raise funds for the construction of an all-inclusive playground at the Youngsville Sports Complex.

The campus chefs showcased their culinary prowess by preparing a Seafood Gumbo, with a total of 10 gallons crafted, out of which 7 were served to the enthusiastic attendees.

In the university's category, Sodexo chefs not only secured the top spot but also claimed the People's Choice award, showcasing the popularity of their delectable Seafood Gumbo.

The event brought together participants, supporters, and community members, fostering a sense of camaraderie for a meaningful cause.
