• Drones now being deployed to fight crime in Jefferson Parish are 'a game changer,' sheriff says (nola.com) — Jefferson Parish deputies are now launching crime-fighting drones from a control center in Harvey, giving them “eyes in the sky” that often reach 911 scenes before patrol cars. The remotely piloted fleet has already flown more than 1,400 missions, helping catch suspects, recover stolen vehicles, and boost officer safety across most of the parish, including nearby West Bank communities.
