• Kenner residents demand action from city leaders concerning Catahoula Crunch (fox8live.com) — Kenner residents packed Friday’s city council meeting to protest the federal “Catahoula Crunch” immigration operation they say is frightening families and hurting local Hispanic-owned businesses. Homeland Security reports about 370 arrests so far, while Police Chief Keith Conley backs the crackdown but says he can’t control federal actions, leaving many residents demanding city leaders limit cooperation with immigration agents.
