While another Trump pick, Justice William Crain, has been confirmed for the Eastern District in New Orleans, Van Hook’s potential appointment would directly affect how federal cases from Monroe and other north Louisiana cities are handled.
   

4. Rep. Julia Letlow, other Louisiana lawmakers introduce bill to protect National Flood Insurance Program (knoe.com) — From Monroe, Rep. Julia Letlow and five other House members have introduced a bipartisan bill to automatically extend the National Flood Insurance Program during congressional stalemates.
