• Red River Waterway Commission purchases emergency response UTV for Caddo Fire District 7 for Use at 1North Adventure Trails (shreveportbossierjournal.com) — Residents should know that Caddo Fire District 7’s new emergency response UTV will be temporarily stationed at the fire station in nearby Mooringsport, improving rescue access to the rugged 1North Adventure Trails in Blanchard. The Red River Waterway Commission funded the specialized vehicle to reach remote bike and hiking trails, with more park amenities planned for 2026, including expanded parking, pavilions, and a deeper lake.
