Loyola Dining hosts Sweet Pink Wishes for breast cancer patients

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members of Loyola University Dining team host letter writing campaign

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, members of Loyola University Dining team in New Orleans hosted a letter writing campaign to support breast cancer patients.

Marketing interns Sabrina Huynh, Crystal Chen and Samantha Guillotte worked with marketing coordinator Amy Jiang to organize a tabling event on October 12.

At the event, called Sweet Pink Wishes, students were encouraged to write letters of support to breast cancer patients currently undergoing treatment at Lieselotte Tansey Breast Center at Ochsner.

Everyone who participated received a pink cookie.

In all, a total of 204 letters were collected and delivered to the Lieselotte Tansey Breast Center.

“We created the campaign in hopes that these letters can give courage and strength to breast cancer patients who are going through a difficult time,” said Huynh.
