Supervisor for Dillard Dining by Sodexo Earns Culinary Degree

Joshua Jones has been employed as a Sodexo supervisor at Kearny Dining Hall at Dillard University since 2017. His aspiration is to become an executive chef for Sodexo.
Jones’ dream is well on its way to fruition. He has just graduated from Delgado Community College earning an associate degree in culinary arts.
Upon graduating, Jones plans to stay with Sodexo as chef supervisor, hone his skills cooking and catering alongside Kearny Dining executive chefs, and hopes to eventually travel the United States and the world as chef for the organization.

“Josh is an up-and-coming chef ready to expand his palette and skills,” said Field Marketing Director Al Lloyd, Dillard Dining by Sodexo at Dillard University. “I believe in Josh not only for his enormous potential, but for his eagerness to be better. His drive and grit leave no question that he's ready for the big league.”
In thinking about his career, Josh said that a good chef has to balance all forms of culinary art to bring forth an experience that can transform the palette.

“Every day is a lesson in which I learn how to be consistent, to challenge myself with flavors, how to be a stronger leader, and how to make my peers and the students we serve smile,” said Jones.
