Tulane Dining donates bake sale proceeds to CALA
Tulane Dining Services hosted a bake sale to benefit the Cancer Association of Louisiana (CALA)

On October 14, Tulane Dining Services hosted a bake sale to benefit the Cancer Association of Louisiana (CALA), a non-profit which provides patient services for all types of cancer, educational programs, and ancillary financial assistance to women seeking breast reconstruction following lumpectomy or mastectomy.
"We are so appreciative of Tulane Dining's generous donation to CALA,” said CALA Executive Director Tammy Swindle, MA, CHES. “Their donation will help us provide gas cards to local cancer patients to ensure that they are able to receive their treatments."
The bake sale was held at Tulane University’s uptown campus next to Devlin Fieldhouse during one of Tulane Dining Service’s recent seasonal farmers market.

Twenty percent of all bake sales were donated to Cancer Association of Louisiana, formerly named the Cancer Association of Greater New Orleans.
“We are committed to supporting the non-profits which serve our community,” said Tulane Dining Services General Manager Wesley Turnage. “These events also provide Tulane University students a quick and easy way to donate to good causes.”
