Tulane University students got a new perk this semester as the first Dunkin’ in New Orleans debuts on campus.
Dunkin’, brought to campus by Tulane University Dining Services by Sodexo, is the newest retail location in the Lavin-Bernick Center Food Court. Featuring its flagship donuts, bagels, and muffins, the location also offers traditional, veggie, and power breakfast sandwiches.
Grand opening events ran from February 14 - 18, dubbed “Love of Donuts” week. Five days of giveaways included heart shaped donuts, tumblers, hats, and t-shirts.

“We are very excited to welcome the Dunkin’ brand to Tulane’s uptown campus,” said John H. Lange, Assistant Vice President, Dining Services. “Dunkin’ is a category leader and one of the most iconic restaurant brands in the United States. We are thrilled that Tulane will be the first to be ‘Running on Dunkin’’ in the uptown area.”
Founded in 1950, Dunkin' is considered one of America's favorite daily go-to for coffee and baked goods.

Dunkin' is a market leader in the hot regular/decaf/flavored coffee, iced regular/decaf/flavored coffee, donut, bagel and muffin categories. The company has more than 12,600 restaurants in 40 countries worldwide.
One of Dunkin’s unique features is an innovative cold beverage tap system to serve iced coffees, iced teas, cold brew, and nitro-infused cold brew coffee.
“On average, we refresh retail concepts every four to five years,” said General Manager Wesley Turnage. “Dining Services collaborated with Student Affairs and Undergraduate Student Government to make the decision to choose Dunkin’ as the new offering.”
The new concept was determined in part through a university-wide survey which factored students’ tastes, preferences, and concepts popular in the regions where Tulane students call home.
