• BASEBALL: Salvaggio signs new pro contract (an17.com) — A former Southeastern Louisiana University shortstop from Slidell, TJ Salvaggio, has signed a new professional baseball contract with the Lake Country Dockhounds of the American Association. After a standout senior season and a strong summer in the MLB Draft League, the Slidell native is continuing his career in an MLB-partner league, giving local fans another hometown player to follow.
