ME Man Accused Of Attacking Third Officer During Jan. 6 Riot: Report

LEBANON, ME — A Maine man already facing multiple charges in connection with the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol is now accused of assaulting a third police officer during the attack, according to a report.

Kyle Fitzsimons, 37, of Lebanon, was arrested in February 2021 on 1o federal charges including two counts of inflicting bodily injury on officers who were on duty at the U.S. Capitol that day, the Portland Press Herald reported.

Now, Fitzsimons will likely face another charge after federal prosecutors said he assaulted a third officer, according to the Press Herald.

So far, Fitzsimons has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
