Massive Fire Destroys Waterfront Hotel In Maine Resort Town: Report

Nearly a dozen fire companies were called to battle the flames at the Beach Cove Waterfront Inn, according to a report.

BOOTHBAY HARBOR, ME — A waterfront hotel in Boothbay Harbor was destroyed Monday night when a massive fire tore through the large, two-story building, according to a report.

Fire companies from numerous towns were called to the Beach Cove Waterfront Inn on West Harbor Pond around 8:30 p.m., the Portland Press Herald reported. The fire was under control two hours later and also caused about 2,000 people in Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport to lose power, according to the Press Herald.

No injuries were reported.
