Prior to the incident, Dore was co-owner of the Old Mill Pub in Skowhegan.

The video was posted to Facebook by Madison resident Katie Perry, the Kennebec Journal reported. Perry declined to comment on the video but said it was passed on to her by someone who did not record it.

According to Perry's Facebook post, the woman was signing paperwork for a car trade-in. A bystander recorded the interaction after claiming they witnessed Dore take a photo under the woman's skirt.

According to a report by the Maine News Journal, Dore is also an employee of a Skowhegan auto sales company called Mark’s Southern Auto and was apparently selling a car to the woman.

As of Thursday, the video had been viewed more than 127,000 times. It's unclear when the video was recorded.

Dore resigned as co-owner of Old Mill Pub after the video went public, the restaurant wrote on Facebook.

"In light of recent events the Old Mill Pub has accepted Eric Dore’s resignation. Please understand that the dedicated staff that rely on us to support their families will strive to provide the same level of service, quality food and community support as we always have," the restaurant wrote. "(We) ask for your understanding, and most of all, maintain peace for all those not involved."

Benjamin Dore, Dore’s brother and a co-owner of the restaurant, acknowledged the video in a phone interview with the Kennebec Journal. He said the incident was "absolutely a shock" to the family.

He also confirmed Dore’s wife will remain a co-owner.

"She was hurt tremendously," Benjamin Dore told the Journal.
