KIDS RSU #2 has an immediate opening for an aspiring and dedicated Special Education teacher in the elementary program at Monmouth Memorial School grades 3-5. The suitable candidate will join an experienced and committed group of teaching partners. State of Maine certification #282 is required.

SUMMARY: Instructs students in activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth in the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible citizens.

Knowledge of supporting students with academic and functional needs; Case management responsibilities

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Maine teaching certificate with 282 endorsement

START DATE: Immediately

SALARY: $39,360 (BA step 1) - $72,553.68 (MA+15 step 22) based on teacher position experience, and prorated from date of hire.
