• Friendship, Maine lobsterman charged with reckless conduct (nationalfisherman.com) — A 41-year-old lobsterman from Friendship faces felony reckless conduct and several misdemeanor charges after allegedly operating his boat in a threatening way toward other mariners. Prosecutors say the Friendship man also has prior serious charges, while his attorney notes he denies the latest allegations and is currently in substance abuse treatment under court-approved conditions.
   

• Pam Cabañas: 'Friendship Inspired' exhibition at The Waldo (boothbayregister.com) — A Friendship-based artist’s coastal paintings and porcelain pieces, inspired by daily life in Friendship’s working waterfront, are now on display at The Waldo Theatre’s Bill and Joan Alfond Gallery in Waldoboro. The “Friendship Inspired” exhibition, featuring bold depictions of local wharves and harbors, is open before events or by appointment through Feb. 22.
