• Finalists Named for AASA's 2026 National Superintendent of the Year® Award (aasa.org) — Gorham residents may be proud to know that Heather Perry, superintendent of the Gorham School Department, has been named one of four finalists for AASA’s 2026 National Superintendent of the Year award. The national honor recognizes her leadership, community involvement, and work advancing public education, with the winner to be announced at a February conference in Nashville. 
• US Equestrian Announces Athletes Selected for 2026 USEF Dressage Training Series East and West Coast (usef.org) — A young dressage rider from Gorham, McKenzie Dicks, has been selected for the 2026 USEF Dressage Training Series East Coast clinic in Florida, spotlighting local talent on a national stage. The program gathers top youth riders from across the country for intensive mounted and unmounted training with leading professionals.
