• WWII Army soldier who died in a Japanese prison camp will return home next spring (stripes.com) — A World War II Army corporal from Monmouth Delmont Johnston, has finally been identified after decades buried as an unknown in the Philippines and will be laid to rest in Augusta next spring. Johnston, captured after the fall of Bataan and lost in the Bataan Death March, was identified through advanced DNA and forensic analysis, bringing long-awaited closure to his home community.
