• Nonprofit seeks volunteers to support survivors of traumatic events in Greater Portland area (newscentermaine.com) — A volunteer-run Trauma Intervention Program is looking for Greater Portland residents willing to support neighbors after house fires, medical emergencies, and other crises. TIP volunteers train to provide on-scene emotional support alongside first responders and must commit to three 12-hour on-call shifts a month, with the next training Jan. 29–Feb. 7 at Scarborough Public Safety Building.
