• Proposed land use changes support rural character, conservation (southberwickreporter.org) — South Berwick’s Planning Board is reworking land-use rules for rural areas to better protect neighborhood character and conservation while clarifying what kinds of commercial activities are allowed. Members are reconsidering bans on low-impact recreation, refining definitions for dozens of uses, and aligning ordinances with Maine law on housing and care facilities. Any changes will go to public hearings before final approval.
