Aberdeen Salary, Ethics Groups to Meet

The public meetings will be held Monday and Tuesday.

Aberdeen officials are holding two public meetings next week.

The Mayor/Council Salary Task Force will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers. The Ethics Commission will meet Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the administrative conference room on the second floor of Aberdeen City Hall.

The city is considering a raise in salary for the part-time positions of council members and mayor. The proposed salary for future mayors would be $24,000—up from the current $10,000—and future council members would be paid $12,000—instead of the current $7,500—according to ExploreHarford.com.
